An Imaginative Cinema Experience for Young Ones

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Children aged 2 to 6 years will experience their first cinema visit in our cozy film room. On Sunday mornings, little ones can enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they not only watch films but also play in a beautiful light landscape. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we screen charming, exciting, abstract, and narrative short films tailored for toddlers and preschoolers. After the screening, visitors can play together in an interactive light landscape filled with various installations that allow children to explore how light can create stories. They will investigate shape, projection, light, shadow, stories, movement, and color. How are shadows formed? Where do images come from, how do shapes grow or shrink, and how do they disappear into nothingness? What stories can they see in the shapes? For adults, shadows may seem mundane, but for children, it could be a magician turning adults into long giants. The program shows that you can not only feed yourself with food but also use it to ignite your imagination. Who slurps the spaghetti strands from your plate? Do you ever pretend to be the chef? Pencils become sausages, and meatballs turn into eggs. What happens to those eggs when you aren’t watching? Playing with food exposes the magic hidden in everyday life.
