A Magical Cinematic Experience for Young Ones!

Children aged 2 to 6 will enjoy their first cinema visit in our cozy film hall. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers can experience Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they watch films and play in a beautiful landscape of light. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase lovely, exciting, abstract, storytelling, and sometimes challenging short films specifically made for young children. After the screening, visitors can play together in a light landscape made of various installations that encourage children to explore how light can create stories. They investigate form, projection, light, shadow, narrative, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do forms grow larger or smaller, and how do they vanish? And what stories can they see within these forms? For adults, shadows may seem ordinary, but for children, they are like magic that turns grown-ups into towering beings. **Program Highlight**: **A Very Cute and Brave Owl** **SHOOOM'S ADVENTURE** Directed by Sonja Rohelder, Julien Bisaro, Carol Freeman, 2020 France Duration: 26 minutes As the storm rages over the marsh, little owl Shooom hatches from his egg but gets blown immediately from the nest. With an extra egg on his back, Shooom waddles into the marsh forest, determined to find a mother for himself and the egg, even if that mother turns out to be an alligator or a raccoon!
