A Magical First Cinema Experience for Young Kids
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Children aged 2 to 6 years can experience their first visit to the cinema in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they immerse in delightful films and play in a beautifully lit landscape.
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase lovely, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films tailored for toddlers and preschoolers. After the screening, children will engage in creative play in a landscape filled with light installations, allowing them to discover how light can create stories. They will investigate shape, projection, light, shadow, narrative, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow or shrink and disappear? What stories can they find in these shapes? While adults take shadows for granted, for children, it might seem like magic that transforms adults into tall giants.
PROGRAM
Paper Adventures is a delightful film program full of paper friends to explore with. Mister Paper goes for a walk, Jeep the toy car embarks on a tropical journey, Dodu goes on an adventure with his ladybug, a dog becomes best friends with its tail, and there are plenty of ice creams to enjoy!
