Cinemini: Day and Night
16th November and 25th January — Natlab
An Enchanting Cinema Experience for Kids
Children aged 2 to 6 will enjoy their first cinema visit in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers experience Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program that combines film viewing with playful interactions in a stunning light landscape.
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase beautiful, charming, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers. After the films, visitors will engage in play within a light landscape composed of various installations that allow children to explore how light can create stories. They will investigate shape, projection, light, shadow, stories, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow or shrink, and how do they disappear? For adults, shadows are common; for children, they can seem like magic that transforms adults into towering giants.
