The Eight with Live Film Music

On Saturday, November 1st, and Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, something special will unfold at Natlab in Eindhoven! Musicians from Stratums Muziekkorps St. Cecilia will perform live music for the acclaimed documentary 'The Eight.' This documentary features the passionate volunteers of the Chaam cycling race, drawing thousands of viewers to theaters and community centers. Now the film is revived with specially composed live music by Jan Bosveld, bringing it to life! Join us for the Eindhoven premiere of a remarkable project: docs in concert. This initiative pairs documentaries with harmony orchestras and composers, merging the magic of live music with the compelling world of documentaries. Initiator Frank van Osch shares, “When my documentary 'The Sadness of Carnival' premiered with live music from a harmony, it was an overwhelming experience. Now we're doing it with many more films, composers, and regional orchestras.” Before the intermission, St. Cecilia will perform several musical pieces and accompany Frank van Osch, who is not only a filmmaker but also a singer-songwriter. His best bike songs will be specially arranged for harmony orchestra for this occasion!
