The Christmas Bunny

Join the Adventurous Tale of a Bunny Who Dares to Dream
A rebellious performance for all children who sometimes have different plans than their parents. The Son of Santa has a problem: he doesn't like hot chocolate, snow, or skiing, and he even has allergies to Christmas trees and reindeer. He much prefers spring, bunnies, and colorful eggs. Deep down, he dreams of becoming the Easter Bunny when he grows up, but his father strongly disapproves. The family tradition dictates that he must succeed his father as Santa, just like his ancestors have done for centuries. Pop-up expert Rianne van Duin creates a gigantic, fairy-tale pop-up set for this performance, inspired by the picture book by Marc-Uwe Kling (the creator of the NEE-horn). The performance is brought to you by De Grote Haay, the ensemble of theater maker and children’s book author Mark Haayema, known for its unique storytelling through puppetry, design, and music. Each visitor is encouraged to think: 'Tomorrow I will open the craft drawer and try this too!'
