Biotopia: A Journey Through Space and Human Psyche

In Biotopia, we follow five space travelers who are forced to leave Earth in search of a safe haven for humanity. Their ultimate destination: Planet Nine, a planet beyond our solar system whose existence is currently only theorized. Within the confines of their new habitat, they must rely entirely on one another. Personal freedom gives way to enforced togetherness, and individuality is overshadowed by the collective's needs. What begins as a shared mission slowly morphs into a psychological trial. Interpersonal dynamics shift: love turns to jealousy, security becomes irritation. When their probe collides with floating space debris, chaos ensues. Biotopia is a dynamic dance performance featuring five dancers in a futuristic setting, facing all physical aspects of forced coexistence, ranging from gentle, poetic interactions to explosive partner work. *Note: Excludes consumption.* **About SHIFFT**: SHIFFT is the dance company led by choreographer Jasper van Luijk, established in 2016. Collaborating with dramaturg Isabel Meloen, they delve into pressing contemporary themes.
