Cinemini: The Adventures of Mole

Children aged 2 to 6 will experience their first cinema visit in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, young toddlers and preschoolers can enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a unique program where they not only watch films but also play in a stunning light landscape. Join us again on October 4th, Animal Day! During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase beautiful, charming, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films specifically created for young children. After the screenings, visitors can explore together in a light landscape filled with various installations that encourage playful discovery about how light can create stories. Kids will investigate shapes, projection, light, shadow, storytelling, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes change size or vanish completely? And what stories can they see within these shapes? While shadows might be mundane for adults, to children, it could feel like magic that transforms adults into towering giants. PROGRAM: Through the eyes of the Mole, we explore the world around us. Hand-illustrated visuals and a gentle rhythm guide children through everyday tales in which they can relate to various animals. THE MOLE: Zdeněk Miler, 1957 Czech Republic 25 minutes The Mole in the City is a cheerful and beautifully crafted compilation of the beloved Czech short animations about the Mole and his friends.
