Experience a powerful narrative of resilience and activism in the world of Drag Queens.
OVER DIT EVENEMENT
Step into the vibrant world of New York in 1969, where Drag Queens and activists, including the iconic Marsha P. Johnson, fight for their existence amidst a dynamic bar scene of color, music, and freedom. This is the dawn of the Stonewall riots, a pivotal moment in the global struggle for LGBTQ+ rights. Fast forward over fifty years, and queer rights are once again under threat. In 'Waiting for Marsha', a group of queer activists led by Marvan aims to seize the World Pride 2026 to draw attention to the rising harassment and violence against the queer community. As Marvan faces mounting pressure from the group to stand resolute, the question looms: how far will they go to protect their freedom? Raymi Sambo reflects on the urgent need to address the growing violence against queer individuals, hoping to ignite a new Stonewall moment with this compelling performance. Join us as this story unfolds to reveal significant narratives of intersectionality and the quest for justice.
