Moonlight Motel: A Musical Journey

After the success of Tofu Cowboy, theater maker Steyn de Leeuwe dives into the world of homelessness. In 'Moonlight Motel', he presents a virtuoso musical one-man show filled with humor, rawness, and a multitude of characters. This poignant quest explores the meaning of home. For two years, Steyn worked in a homeless shelter, and he channels that experience into a hallucinatory theatrical journey about life on the streets. An odyssey told through the eyes of an antihero, it addresses themes of success and failure, happiness and misfortune, justice and injustice, fiction and reality. It turns out that sleeping on the streets is closer to home than we think, and everyone is in search of a place to belong. In the musical and humorous 'Moonlight Motel', Steyn interweaves dozens of characters, showcasing a theatrical tour de force.
