Immerse Yourself in a Poetic Journey of Love and Memory

ABOUT THIS EVENT

In this animated, interactive VR experience, we step into the shoes of Ida, a 72-year-old pianist living with dementia. 'A Long Goodbye' is a poetic exploration of the gradual farewell between two beloved souls who have shared a lifetime together. The story unfolds as we live a day in Ida's life while her reality slowly fades. The apartment, where she has spent her life with her beloved husband Daniel, initially feels empty and undefined. As we interact with objects and play recordings from her husband, her whimsical world gradually comes to life, almost as if it is being painted before our eyes. Fragments of memories and conversations help Ida rediscover herself, while Daniel's hope of staying connected grows as he realizes their remaining time together may be limited. 'A Long Goodbye' is not just about the impact of dementia; it is fundamentally a tale of love and the long farewell of two souls intertwined in life.
