PINK SMOKE: A Dance Journey through Loss and Freedom

Experience two captivating performances that explore the essence of humanity. Club Guy & Roni presents WARQAD, an intimate dance piece inspired by Japanese traditions reflecting on loss and the rituals that help us let go. In WARQAD, the dancers use fragile washi-paper as symbols of cherished memories, prompting reflection on our relationship with a transient world. Also featured is FREIHEIT, a thought-provoking exploration of freedom and the self-imposed boundaries we navigate. Created in collaboration with Tanz Mainz, this performance examines how our perceived choices sometimes limit our freedom. Every 3 minutes and 33 seconds, the space, lighting, and music transform, illustrating the fluidity of boundaries between people and ideas. The body becomes an arena for creativity, liberation, and confrontation, raising the critical question: where does my freedom end, and where does yours begin?
